About Sue
Sue spent her formative years in Derby, Port Hedland & bought up her 4 children in Broome.
She started her social work career as a mature age student at the "tender" age of 38. Her journey to becoming a Social Worker required her to sit the year 12 entrance exam with the year 12 students at Mandurah High School.
Sue graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work at Curtin University, WA in 2001 and from there started working in Mandurah, where her passion for working in remote areas was developed.

She worked for Centrelink in Broome, Karratha and Darwin servicing remote communities like Arnhem lands and Katherine. Then at Royal Darwin Hospital as a team leader and acting manager to the Social Work department.

"
I have a lived and professional experience of being in a remote and/or rural community and I understand the complexities of smaller communities coming from a professional and strength based perspective.
